Prevent Asthma With Apples
You're pregnant? If so, multiply eating apples. Did you know, apples are consumedby pregnant women can reduce the risk of asthma baby in her womb.
This is the result of research by experts from the University of Aberdeen, UK. In thisresearch, they studied the eating habits of 2000 expectant mothers and see theirchild's physical condition over the past five years. The result is quite surprising.Pregnant women who eat four or more apples a week, then the risk of their childrenhad asthma, 50 percent lower than children of mothers who consume only one or fewerapples per week. Research results were presented at the American Thoracic Societyconference, recently.
So far, the experts can not explain how the apple could produce such benefits. To be sure, several previous studies concluded, apples consumed by adults can improvelung health. These benefits allegedly derived from the antioxidant content of apples.
"There may be other factors in the lifestyle of pregnant women who love to eat the apple, so that their children avoid asthma," said Dr Graham Devereux, who led the study. "The research also gives the message to pregnant women about the importance of implementing a healthy diet and balanced."
